How To Install Fmcb On A Modded Ps2

Icidu wireless usb adapter 300n drivers for mac. Click to expand.mmmm. Pakistan sells premodded ps2's. Only pirated games. I smell copyright infringement problems, but this is all besides the pointit might be that you have premodded ps2's over there (if copyright issues aren't such a big deal as they are in europe and the usa).

But if your cousin can boot a copy, just make yourself a boot disc. Follow any of the tutorial in the link i send. Put it into his ps2, put a memcard in it and see if the bootcd boots and if you are able to install fmcb. If it does, take out the memcard and plug it into your ps2. If it boots fine, your done.there are compatibility issues with some of the newer slim ps2's, they may not let you boot (which isn't a problem for you) or may not let you install (which is a problem for you!!) the fmcb to memcard.

For owners of the fat PS2 consoles, you can also soft mod your PS2 to use your HDD (and even use Free HD Boot - the HDD version of Free MC Boot). Yes, I am aware that many users are kind enough to provide a free service for installing FMCB.

Just try it.for fmcb to boot on your ps2, your laser can be toast. That is not a problem, fmcb does not need a working laser.easy way to check if yours is modded is by just putting in a copy.

If it boots a copy, it is modded. If not, it is not modded. If you are able to boot an original ps1 game, go find the tut. About the psx triggerdisc method.

With that, you can boot a copy with an original psx 1 game. Via that way you can boot the fmcb installer too.if you think you have a chipped ps2, go put in a cd copy of a ps1/2 game (cd!!!). If that boots, you can create a bootdisc of cd and install fmcb that way on your own ps2.else, go to your cousin and install it from his ps2if you install from any modchip, set the modchip to the right video setting!!! A modchip will normally boot as ntsc, while the original european ps2 is a pal. Since the fmcb will check your videosettings automatically (if you boot of a modchip, it will see a ntsc system) and create a fmcb ntsc install. If you put that into your pal system it will not boot!!!! Read the below tutorial, the solution is to copy and rename the baex-system folder!!!

Getting a chip is only useful if you want to use the laser (=dvd)!!!! If your laser is getting bad, getting a chip will do you not any good. In some time, your laser dies and you are in the same boat (unless chips are really cheap where you live, but here in europe they are quite expensive). So i firstly recommend getting a fmcb installed on a memorycard and put your games on your harddrive.

Then you can boot your games of your harddrive and you do not need a working laser. Secondly you can always put in a chip (considering they are cheap etc. Etc.).furthermore, search for the pot tweaking tutorial. You might squeeze out several months/years of gameplay by decreasing the dvd's pot's resistance (= pot tweaking). I used this on my xbox dvd drive (decreased the resistance from 808 tot 780 ohm) and now my dvd drive reads dvd's agaian!!my suggestion:create a fmcb using a friends modified ps2 or via the triggerdisc method (go use your friends ps2, much, much easier.

Takes about 5 minutes)secondly, you can tweak your dvd's pot, it will increase the laser's strength hence making dvd's read better.thirdly, modchip is nice if they are cheap.my ps2 was modded, but my laser died out on me. Hence, i have an expensive modded ps2 with no use at all (but i use fmcb with a large harddrive in networkadapter, so no need for the chip at all)i have a messiah 2 modchip in it, but don't know if it is any good. Don't have any knowledge about modchips, i always go the softmod way. Besides, the main function of the modchip is to boot copies only. ANY, modchip will do that. So get the cheapest one.

Mod

But some modchips burn out the laser of your dvd very quick, so read up on that (there are some laserfixes around, your modchip installer should have knowledge about which modchip are bad (burn your laser down real quick) and which are good. You don't need any chip to play of the networkadapter, you only need to get fmcb installed on your original/compatible ps2 memory card. Go to the link in my first post, there is the tut for installing fmcb and all the ways to get it installed.and yes, you can copy any copied game (cd, dvd and dldvd etc.) to your networkadapter's hdd (use winhiip, on your pc, to copy the content of the copied dvd/cd by using your pc and the pc's dvd drive'go here:read up on the fmcb tutorial (that is what you need).read further one how to install it to your memcard.in short you need either an action replay OR someone who already has fmcb running OR someone with a modded ps2.and NO, there are no other ways to get it running with YOUR setup. You need a way to install the fmcb. I borrowed a modded ps2, only to install the fmcb (my laser was also toast).you can copy/rip games over using winhiip'. No you cannot do a cross region install.I read it somewhere. In order for FMCB to work it has to be the same region. You Could have someone install it for and all you would have to pay is postage to the person that is installing it for you. Here is a link.Go to that link and read up on freevast, they should have a list of people that do the installs.

All you have to do is find someone in your region. The site will also let you know what you need to do to get the install.I am going by what I have been reading and researching. There are more knowledgeable people on this forum than me and they might be able to help u a little better than I can. If I am wrong about anything in this post Please let me know.Thank u and God Bless, islandsun.
