George Foreman 12005
We have owned one of these about 3.1/2 years before it wore out through regular daily use with a family of five. (Coating on plates and catch u/s)
First the plus points:-
So easy to use, set to heat up and leave to do its thing - once the buzzer goes, get food in and cook - cooking times seem about the same or a little longer than some other methods - but tyhe amount of grease and crud coming off food is amazing - so good not to eat it as I have a heart condition..

I would not buy again. We had an older version without removeable plates and this was much better. i bought the removeable plate one when my old one developed a fault as it was out of warranty. did not think my hubby could fix it. anyway he did and we gave the old one to my daughters boyfriend and started to use the new one. what a mistake. although it cost double the price the cooking area is very small and it takes forever to heat up - anything up to 20 mins whereas my old one was heated in… Read Full Review

The George Foreman 12205 would be a great buy, if only the cooking performance was equal to its original model (without the removable plates)! Cooking the food takes three times longer than the manufacturer suggests… Read Full Review

Ive had three in the past. First one was the first ones that came out but in the individual size grill. Next was a full size grill that looked like a weber charcoal grill and last was a newer one where the plates remove.
Maube its just me but I thought the first one got hotter and was move evenly cooked than yhe newer ones. When I lived in apartment I loved them. Now I usually use the oropane grill or throw chicken in the oven. The foreman cookef everything well except for steaks, I felt like they lacked in flavor.
If ur gonba get one, wait til black friday and you will find them very cheao online. X2The wife and I had one of the smaller ones many years ago, when my two oldest boys were very small. We cooked just about all of our meat on it, and the only complaint I (we) had was the fact that the non-removeable plates made it a real PITA to clean. We made the mistake of trading our little (two-burger) GF to my parents for their much larger off-brand version, and it just wasn't the same. Took too long to heat up, didn't cook as well, and died in less than a year. We went back to cooking our meat on the gas grill and never bothered to replace the GF.IMO, they're ideal for single people, couples, or apartment-dwellers who lack the space for a gas grill. For a family of 3 or more, I'd prefer a gas grill.
