Hi Excel Experts!
I am working on a Mac (OS10.6.8), Excel 2011 for MAC and I have opened up an Excel file, created in Excel 2007 on a PC. It is a Dashboard with multiple sheets which make up the background to the dashboard. The file contains a number of VB Macros which I have enabled. When I attempt to select one of the filters in a dropdown on the Dashboard, I am presented with the following errors:
'Compile Error: Cant find project or Library', and two dialogue boxes appear 'Module 1(Code)' and 'Project'.
Some threads suggest selecting Run > Reset; then Tools > References, which I have done. The resulting dialogue box states that i am 'MISSING: Microsoft Internet Controls' which relates to an 'ieframe.dll' file. If I deselect the 'MISSING'box, and try select one of the dropdowns again, I get a run-time error of '424', with 'End' and 'Debug' as options. If I click Debug, none of the dropdowns work.. I have searched for the missing .dll file, but I understand that this is a file that relates to Internet Explorer? which I neither use, own or feel has anything to do with this Dashboard!
I am by no means a developer or code writer, Im just trying to make the Dashboard work properly! Much appreciated if anyone could supply answers with my 'Dummy' status in mind!
All very frustrating, really need to crack on with use of this Dashboard. Any ideas please?
Thank you!
